Small information about REC plastic for 3D printers, best in the World

REC was established in 2013. Our company is a team of professionals in manufacturing, marketing and sales.

Today, REC is a benchmark of quality and popularity. The company successfully cooperates with industrial enterprises, fablabs, higher and secondary educational institutions, and manufacturers of 3D printers.

REC is not just a manufacturer of consumables for 3D printing. REC is a company that is committed to create a community of people fond of 3D printing by continuously supplying high quality materials and maintaining constant contact with consumers.

as convenient for customers as possible.

Info sticker

This system intended to indicate the amount of thread remained on the spool will allow you to be sure that the part can be printed when the spool is not full.

Storage system

Bag with a zipper and silica gel. This system allows reliably storing consumables between 3D printing sessions.

Handy box with handle

Our products are manufactured
by using state-of-the-art and certified equipment.

We use high-precision laser systems to control the thread diameter, which allows manufacturing materials with the minimal error of 0.03 mm. Only pre-treated raw materials are used in manufacturing.

The components in the thread composition are thoroughly selected and tested for compatibility. After manufacturing, we provide double quality check of products and package.

Throughout one year, materials produced for 3D printing, were tested on the release of harmful substances using the gas chromatography FGH-1. Also, we checked the allocation of micro-particles, which are formed by using the 3D printing Analyzer aerosol Kanomax 3521. As a result, we have developed the formula of our production materials so that 3D printing has become absolutely safe.

The company’s production capacity allows satisfying any demand.

ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a shockproof filament for 3D printing. It has high strength, offers the convenience of surface treatment. It is ideal for rapid prototyping as well as for producing load-bearing parts.

Flex is a termoelastoplast, similar to silicone in its properties. It’s great for creating protective enclosures, seals, simple molds, insulating gaskets, details of the footwear industry, finished elastic products and the mechanics nodes.

PLA (polylactide) is a biopolymer extracted from corn and sugar cane. Due to its smoothness, PLA is an excellent material for rapid prototyping and producing moving parts. PLA is harder than ABS filament and does not contain any harmful substances, that’s why it’s great for home use. Doesn’t require heated table for printing.

HIPS is a high-impact polystyrene. In its properties this material is similar to ABS filament but doesn’t absorb moisture and is perfectly amenable to mechanical processing. HIPS is soluble in a citrus oil, that’s why it can be used as a support material. It has a very smooth surface which is advantageous for silicone molding.

RUBBER is a termoelastoplast for 3D printing, similar to soft rubber in its properties. It’s a flexible and soft material, great for creating seals, vibration dampers and insulating gaskets. Very pleasant to the touch.

RELAX - Transparent plastic on the basis of PET-G for a very solid 3D printing. Perfect for large products, it is easy to print because its shrinkage is even less than that of dry PLA, but due to the high adhesion between the layers, even thin-walled models have impressive durability. This material is characterized by very high impact resistance and broad temperature range (from -40 ° C to + 70 ° C), high transparency, good resistance to fats and mineral acids. And most importantly, get with this material qualitative result is very simple. Absolutely any FDM 3D-printer can print REC RELAX perfectly.

ETERNAL is weather resistant high impact plastic for 3D printing. The material has high strength and resistance to external factors, has a wide range of operating temperatures for a long time (from -40 ° C to + 80 ° C). It is also UV resistant and unaffected by lubricants, dilute acids and diesel fuel. Compared with the ABS plastic and has an increased adhesion appreciably smaller effect shrinking. The material is perfect for printing outdoor device housing, street lighting equipment, components of vehicles, maritime and aeronautical engineering (both external and internal components) and items that the operation exposed to the environment.

REC Easy Flex

Easy Flex - plastic on the basis of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) for 3D printing. The most elastic and wear-resistant material in the line of flexible plastics REC. It is characterized by high chemical resistance to oils, gasoline, alkalis and some acids. It has high strength in bending and tensile deformation. And most importantly, get with this material qualitative result is very simple. The material has a high level of resistance to natural aging and can be recycled.

CAST is a special material based on polymethylmethacrylate with the addition of special plasticizers. The material is prepared specifically for printing objects used in casting on the burned models. The results of thermogravimetric analysis in a dynamic air atmosphere showed that the mass fraction of ash is less than 0.01% of the mass of the printed object when it is burned at ~405°C. Thus, this material has an extremely low ash content, which makes it an ideal material for creating burnable master models. Now any owner of FDM 3D printer can make a master model of REC CAST and turn to the casters for the manufacture of the necessary parts without spending much money. Printing REC CAST is a little more difficult than printing ABS plastic, with due skill, you can achieve amazing results.

PVA - polyvinyl alcohol. Solid, colorless, non-toxic substance, odorless. PVA plastic is non-toxic and biodegradable and is recommended for printing auxiliary structures in PLA plastic objects with complex geometry, which can then be easily removed. The PVA can be dissolved in a normal bath with warm water, sometimes stirring to speed up the process. Each coil is packed in a reusable vacuum bag with silica gel, so that the plastic does not lose its properties during storage.

TPU D70 - TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). It is characterized by high chemical resistance to oils, gasoline, alkalis and some acids. It has high deformation strength.
